Additions & ADUs in Sacramento.
First-floor additions, second-story pop-ups, detached ADUs. We handle Sacramento County permits.
12–28 weeks typical
Straight answer
We haven't photographed an ADU yet.
Rather than pad this page with someone else's work, here's what we actually know: which building department reviews your project, what each Sacramento-area jurisdiction allows, and where ADU budgets really move. Additions and ADUs draw more plan-check scrutiny than any other residential work, and getting the package right the first time is most of the timeline.

Additions & ADUs FAQ.
How long does an addition or ADU take?
Twelve to twenty-eight weeks of construction, plus design and a longer permit timeline than interior work. Additions and ADUs get more plan-check scrutiny.
Do you handle the permits and zoning?
Yes. We manage Sacramento County and city filings, setbacks, and plan check. ADUs have their own streamlined path in many jurisdictions.
Can you match the addition to the existing house?
That's the goal: rooflines, siding, and windows that read as original, not bolted-on.
Will an ADU need its own utilities?
Often yes: separate electrical, sometimes water and sewer connections. We scope it during design.
